Teaching wise, the successful candidate must be able to teach BOTH formal and empirical papers (an essential criterion). If you can contribute to our Global Politics or Conflict Master stream, it is a bonus, but not a requirement (a desirable criterion).

You do NOT need to have publications (a potential to publish in top journals is enough). We have a history of hiring scholars with no publication.

Research wise, we are looking for a political economist: either a formal theorist (@FormalTheory) or an empiricist. A formal theorist should be able to converse with empiricists, an empirical scholar should be able to converse with formal theorists.
