TB is quite rare in USA. So their management approach and decision making process is different from us. My niece returned to US from India and she was diagnosed as case of Latent TB on basis of IGRA and had to be managed as per their guidelines. While in India we don't do IGRA.
My father in law suffered for over a month in US because doctors were not able to figure whether it's cancer or TB. He flew back to India and was diagnosed with TB within three days and got the best medical facilities available with 1/10th of the money we spent on his tests on
