A lot of people (understandably) feeling a bit misled regarding the whole “built for Apple Intelligence” marketing approach with the iPhone 16 range. Surely they HAVE to have this ready for the 17?.
New: Apple confirmed that it’s delaying the release of a new AI-infused Siri digital assistant, saying the company now expects to roll out the software sometime “in the coming year."

The fact that Apple totally ignored the best ever opportunity to redesign the god-awful Magic Mouse is both insane, and exactly what I expected at the same time. 😒.

I mean, it’s a first world problem, but when you’ve got a LOT of apps, having to go and manually download each and every one, and log back in to all of them is a huge time drain.

Anyone else finding that the ‘setup new iPhone with an old iPhone’ feature straight up doesn’t work anymore? Didn’t work for my new 16 Pro, and hasn’t worked for my wife with an AppleCare replacement phone just now. Basically forced to start the phone from scratch….

Ordered within 30 seconds of the store becoming available to me. Shipping date as I ordered was 20th September. Email arrived 30 mins later with this new date, possibly 10 days late. Lame. #iphone16

Ouch. I can’t help but think that this is more a chess move by Apple, than actually adhering to any laws. Will be interesting to see how this one plays out once the global rollout begins, and the EU public gets sick of missing out on key features.

This seems like it would be such an odd move by Apple, a company that’s spent years trying to rely less and less on Google. I get they don’t want to release anything half baked, but would this imply they’re further behind than we thought?.

Random Vision Pro thought/question, feel free to answer if you know. Could you pack a Mac Mini/Studio in a bag with a keyboard and mouse, and use JUST the desktop Mac with Vision Pro as a mobile setup?.
