I’ve just bought a micro-advertising campaign for this film photo I took over the Bahamas in 2014. It's available from $10, on up to more expensive poster-sizes. If you know anyone who might like a print of it, I'd sure appreciate a referral 🥂.

A Ministerial Decree in Italy requires that bidets be installed in all residential bathrooms throughout the country. It states, specifically: “in each house, at least one bathroom must have the following fixtures: a toilet, a bidet, a bathtub or shower, and a sink.”

It's worth pointing out that these mountains are in the northeast part of North America, not out west with the likes of the Rocky Mountains or the Sierra Nevada. And they look pretty wild, don't they? But they're only about half a day's drive from New York City.

It's enormously satisfying to know the correct word or description for something slightly beyond the range of daily vocabulary or thought. Either you develop or learn it yourself beforehand, or someone tells you the moment it's needed; regardless, it's a great feeling to have.

You don’t see paintings of Istanbul at night very often. Also interesting to note how dark the city was before modern lights.

Wes Anderson talks about every feature-length movie he's ever made in this video, up to his newest one from about a month ago. What strikes me about Anderson is how unassuming he is, though his attention to detail seems evidenced in how he speaks.

During the height of trade activity during the Han Dynasty (about 100 BC to 100 AD), the Chinese state sent 10 caravans annually to Central Asia. Each caravan carried approximately 4 tons of silk, or 40 tons annually. This was only a fraction of China's total silk export volume

I'm next to one of the greatest urban forests in the world in Brussels. The place has three or four hugely pleasant cafes where you can sit under the old trees and have good Belgian beer. It's a beautiful day. I'm highly inclined to go do that, but I might do it a different day.
