i am convinced that software devs have a speed problem they think the #1 issues is writing code faster... its not. its fixing the code that is already there to stop being utter garbage (as a garbage code connoisseur) quality is really lacking these days, yet quantity has never

Last quarter I rolled out Microsoft Copilot to 4,000 employees. $30 per seat per month. $1.4 million annually. I called it "digital transformation." The board loved that phrase. They approved it in eleven minutes. No one asked what it would actually do. Including me. I

We are sending out a proposal for Stacked Diffs on @GitHub to trusted design partners to gather initial feedback over the next few days. From there we’ll iterate and share the gameplan

RE: Stacked Diffs on @GitHub After discussion w @ttaylorr_b, we can implement stacked PRs/PR groups already (in fact we kind of do with Copilot) but restacking (automatically fanning out changes from the bottom of the the stack upwards) would be wildly inefficient. To do it

I love JetBrains IDEs, I develop plugins for them and use them every day (except for Svelte projects of course), but they HAVE to do something about this situation. I wouldn’t care if it wasn’t a paid IDE.

I’ll constantly be vocal about this on every single WS update because it’s absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to not have any single improvement in such a popular framework in a paid IDE.

No need to check, still not a SINGLE tiny improvement for Svelte Vue, Angular, Astro & React can enjoy updates, but not Svelte users that have been let down for almost two years

In my experience of life across personal, professional, and open source, I’m amazed at how many people kind of wait for things to happen to them instead of going out and making things happen for them. It’s a consistent difference between a certain level of success (not just

In many cases this isn't actually a problem, there are plenty of decades old apps that haven't been updated in about as long that still function as you'd expect

I have never interacted with a single person amongst the sea of my 400,000 followers who has said, "I would like Windows to be agentic, connecting devices, cloud, and AI to unlock intelligent productivity" Most say, "I would like my computer to be a computer, please stop"

This feature was requested by @jycouet about 6 months ago, and I finally decided to implement it! https://t.co/OsO243c2L7 is just a redirect domain for https://t.co/yzAUAzW6pM: You can hit the short version directly, as well as using the long one to prefix GH links!

Big new thing on Svelte Changelog: you can now prefix a GitHub URL with the whole new shortened " https://t.co/OsO243c2L7" domain to open an issue, PR, or discussion in SC directly from GH! 🔥
