because of collapsing attention spans, the next decades will be increasingly about simplifying information as much as possible @karpathy's vision of super intelligent leading to much smarter humans is closer than it seems

i had to get back on here to freak out about how good notebookLM has gotten research paper to a video, slides, podcast, mind map in 5 minutes. knowledge discovery is one of the biggest unlocks LLMs offer and google is going all out on it

I finally reached human-level performance (85%) on ARC-AGI v1 for under $10k and within 12 hours. I use the same multi-agent collaboration with evolutionary test-time compute, now powered by GPT-5 pro with lower parallelism.

most complex debates end at ā€œit’s a semantics issueā€ but mechanisms is where the real juice is it is my life’s dream to try and find a solution to this. solving debates means solving a big part of what we think as intelligence.

@SHL0MS we all need to obsess less about the words, and more about the mechanisms what do we get from debating whether something is life or not?

Love that this was shot with a physical setup. It’s the kind of thing that had made me fall in love with Apple as a kid.

Cursor CEO Michael Truell on the future of writing code: ā€œā€ŠOur goal with Cursor is to invent a new type of programming.ā€ ā€œIt looks like a world where you have a representation of the logic of your software that does look more like English.ā€ ā€œYou can imagine kind of an evolution

Two 23 year old Indians just dropped the #2 open-weight AI voice model in the world, trained purely on free credits! Maya1 is #20 globally, better than even Google's best. 3B params, runs on one GPU and does 20+ emotions with < 100ms latency You can just do things.

Alright, here's the tea: Two new snapshots of GPT-5 with lowered latency, possibly larger context window, and reduced pricing will come in the next 3-4 weeks. One new model specifically trained for data analysis will be released early next year.

@Grummz @Wikipedia it's crazy we're championing killing of the single most valuable resource on the Internet that humans laboriously crafted for an AI algorithm that has never seen the outside, real world

more generally: high trust societies expand the frontier of innovation and pay the price of grift low trust societies police the frontier of ideas and pay the price of innovation

Legit take. Innovative cultures let grift slide for longer because they inherently understand some real innovations do need early grift It’s why USA has Theranos, FTX and India doesn’t have Tesla , OpenAI

if this isn’t already obvious, pewdiepie is a racist fuck and began a trend of dehumanization against Indians. what’s worse: 1) most of his audience were kids 2) he never apologized for his actions i hope he rots in hell.
