The new version of the Set Blueprint Archive is now live.
Covering set blueprints, CGI models, LCARS, concept art, panoramas, my reverse engineered blueprints and the physical models.
The Rodenberry Archive have launched a site where you can walk around in 3D each of the bridges of the each Enterprise
You can even walk around the phase II bridge
The Rodenberry Archive has relaunched - you can tour around the Bridges of Star Trek and the DS9 promenade
Also the Enterprise D turbolifts are functional - you can go to other decks
What is your favourite non-canon ship design?
It could be an unmade concept, or even a fan design (please name fan creator if possible)
It should be no surprise that I am very fond of the cancelled Phase II Enterprise
Romulan Warbird to Enterprise D
Enterprise D to Enterprise TOS
USS Kelvin is probably smaller than Enterprise TOS (especially if styled for the era)
The D'deridex Warbird could have easily been the massive ship out of the temporal rift.
Phase II transporter - the set would be altered for Movies, TNG and VOY
Photo from a fanzine published before the sets were about to be converted to TMP
This is the only photo I've seen of this phase II set.
The USS Kelvin responding to sensor alerts about a lightning storm in space, are shocked to see a massive ship emerging from the time rift. A ship so large it easily dwarfs theirs.
Ensign Jones had the most vital job on the ship.
Everyday Jones would crawl through the Jefferies tubes to apply Dilithium Grease or WD-47 to the nacelle hinge.
If the nacelle hinges ever seized up, they would be stuck in the Delta Quadrant forever.
