'Engage' is a short piece of virtual theatre I created for a drama festival, which is of particular note to Trek fans! Hope you can give it a spin!

"This is one Jim Kirk, 32 years old, wedded to a mighty starship. A five year excursion into the shadows of deep space. But how great is the cost of discovery? We're about to find out, by taking a voyage into the deep waters... of the Neutral Zone."
A thread in which the original 6-foot studio model of the Enterprise-D is built, tweet by tweet!
First pic: Bill Concannom and Ease Owyeung study the deck plans...
In my humble opinion, this is one performer who did not get nearly enough props for her great work in Picard! The assimilation scene, her song, her reaction to the Admonition...

Breaking: Paramount+ have announced "Star Trek: Livingston", a retelling of classic TNG stories from the perspective of Picard's lionfish. Voiced by Morgan Freeman.
Like a wise man once said, "ye cannae change the laws of physics." Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott through the years! Do you have a favourite Scotty moment?
In honour of DS9's 30th Anniversary, here's a thread of art and design. Dive in! First, a beautiful drawing of the station by the designer, Rick Sternbach.
Had this poster on my wall as a teen - great vessels enclosed in the twinkling, protective canopy of Spacedock. Still awe-inspiring! ILM truly are magicians. There's something about the old studio models, they have a reality, a heft to them that CG sometimes lacks.
Stunning new "what if?" modern title sequence for DS9 (specifically, the pilot 'Emissary') created by fans David Frank and Christian Lerch. See the link for the video and full credits!
I'll be truly sad to see

go. It relaunched Trek, brought a refreshing Abrams-style energy to Trek TV, along with a group of charismatic, committed actors. It held true to Roddenberry's vision of strength in diversity. And it flew us to the 32nd Century.
Rewatched DS9's "The Siege of AR-558" tonight - possibly the darkest episode of Trek so far, as traumatised soldiers hold their positions in a place where traditional Star Trek optimism and hope seems far away indeed. There is no excitement and spectacle, only the cold realities…
For Star Trek III: The Search For Spock's 39th birthday, here's a gallery of lovely concept art - with a few lesser known facts about the movie! Enjoy the thread.
He tasks me. He tasks me, and I shall have him. I'll chase him round the moons of Nibia and round the Antares Maelstrom and round perdition's flames before I give him up.
Hello all - sorry for the subspace radio silence of late, been taking a bit of social media break! Hope you are all well? Here is a great pic from artist Edgar Hodges (1972).
Every now and again, a Star Trek episode comes along that you know is one of the special ones. DS9's The Visitor was one of those. A tribute to the unbreakable bond between father and son, it's a heartbreaking, soulful and beautiful science fiction tale firmly focused on people.
Discovery doesn't get enough love for its painterly, cinematic visuals, I reckon. Culled from

's great screencap archive, here is a thread of some beautiful shots from the show's run so far - volume one!

"Imposters" unashamedly revisits lesser known old wounds for surprisingly emotional gains, with a powerful dose of Changeling unease in the mix. There is a cumulative strength to this season of Picard not present in modern Trek before!
Nyota Uhura, as portrayed by Nichelle Nichols, Zoë Saldana and now Celia Rose Gooding. After all these years, I feel we don't know Uhura very well. I'm excited that Strange New Worlds is an opportunity to do justice to this beloved character.
Studio models in action. CG can create wonders only measured by our imagination, but I still maintain there was a sense of reality, of heft, about these glorious real-life builds.
