#stats folks: I want to compute a cohen’s d effect size from a paper that does not report group means and sds, but does report welch’s t-test info. If it were a typical t statistic I could convert it to Cohen’s d, but is something similar possible with Welch’s t?

PSA: the inventor of Hedges’ G was named Hedges not Hedge. So it’s Hedges’ G not Hedge’s G… I can’t be the only one who didn’t know this until today…
