The problem is that most GM’s want to seem like they are the smartest guy in the room and go against the grain. Drafting is simple. Did the guy play meaningful minutes on a great team, in a great conference, against great players and succeed? Draft him.
I couldn't tell you who runs the Philadelphia Eagles. What I can tell you is that he's the smartest person in the league! This is how you win.

You want a leader? Wes Johnson is a leader. Did what he had to do in the situation and got the win.
After a lead off walk, Wes Johnson yelled “Are you gonna do this?!” to Kolten Smith from the dugout. He then marched out to the mound & got in his pitcher’s face & challenged him. Smith struck out 2 of 3, including DH Donay on 3 pitches to end it. Final: #4 Dawgs 8 | #13 UF 7

All in all, it was a good season that many folks didn’t think the team would sniff the tourney. It was especially tough with the SEC being so dominant. Continue to build and hit the transfer portal with intent and fans will continue to become more and more vested in the program.

Need to find a solid shooter and 3 and D guy. Hell, maybe two of each and bring in one more big man. That five players coming in, with 4 leaving. Should be another NCAA-caliber team with veteran leadership.

Abson and Godfrey should be back. Both solid big men that bring energy and leadership. Tyrin and Dakota are out of eligibility and Montgomery didn’t get much playing time late in the season. DJ should also be back and have another year under his belt to get better.

Asa should come back for another year, as he needs to still develop his game. He is an NBA big man, but needs to get bigger and stronger. Think Nic Claxton. Savo needs some serious run next year. He needed a year to adapt to college ball, but could help Silas with PG duties.

Couple of things with this UGA basketball team. Silas and Blue are DGD and UGA fans would be super lucky to have them both back for their junior seasons. Somto needs another offseason, but he should be a force next year.

I think the thing that gets fans riled up is watching a program like Mizzou turn it around so fast. Hell, even Vanderbilt. The fan support is real for Georgia basketball. I was in the stands today. Folks want this program to win and they are invested.

The wife wanted to come to a Georgia basketball game for Valentine’s Day. First, I’ve got myself a winner. Second, this basketball team needs a change at the top. The in-bound and half-court sets are atrocious.
