NHS hospitals are now charging patients £2/hr just to sit in a wheelchair in A+E. These are some of the sickest patients, who often have to wait hours to be seen. The NHS is crumbling, and is being eaten away by constant privatisation. When will @wesstreeting act?

I've just watched this from Paul, & it encapsulates *perfectly* the feeling I get when going out to do nightscape astrophotography; the joy, the calm, the privilege of getting to experience beautiful skies such as these. Please watch it & marvel at the brilliance of Paul's work!.

1 week of dog walks later, and I've finished, though I think I may just go back to the beginning and listen to it again (and again and again). A book which I would summarise in one word - kindness. Thanks @oliverburkeman.
Really enjoyed coming to this event, and eager to get @oliverburkeman's new book into my ears. His last book (Four Thousand Weeks) made the dreary, rain-soaked September dog walks much more interesting, and I'm sure Meditations for Mortals will do the same!.

Met a cute little jumping spider last night, and spent an age fighting with a broken lens to get some focused shots of it. Only about 3 or 4mm long, not sure what species it is? Salticus scenicus, or Anasaitis Milesae @BritishSpiders?
