The dark of solstice is a good time to remind anyone still here that, if the algorithm allows me to reach any of my old followers, I am now enjoying the happy vibe of the other place where the skies are blue 🦋🩵

Delighted to discover that the sieve that we have been using on our Iron Age excavation in Jersey, is Charles McBurney’s from the La Cotte excavations in the 1960/70s. Still going strong and will be out again next year!

Stayed overnight on Seymour Tower and felt sad watching the swallows departing that had overnighted in Jersey and were off on their way, knowing how many birds are shot over europe, especially Malta. Fly well, be safe

Our #volunteers have been busy coppicing at Queen’s Valley Reservoir to gather hazel to use at the Neolithic Longhouse at La Hougue Bie. This ancient method helps with woodland management and creates habitats for wildlife. With thanks to @JerseyWater #community #ourislandstory
