The gap between the average worker and an AI smart worker will keep becoming wider.
The argument is a very cogent one. Conscious usage of AI tools in a manner that provides leverage, provides seed for subsequent ideation / thinking vs. outsources our ability to structure, think and solve, is a very difficult trade off decision that is made multiple times in.

I enjoyed this talk. It underscored some of the themes @abhi9u covers in his posts on why it’s important for great software engineers to understand the machine and CPU architecture to extract the most performance out of them. Nicely done @s_kudlur @AnirudhRowjee.
Up next, we had an awesome talk on the principles and art of . hardware/software co-design for many-core systems by @s_kudlur joining us all the way from Edinburgh! The talk covered everything from profiling to exploring CXL, NUMA, and whether memory or compute is the bottleneck.

You need to work on your support systems @rapidobikeapp. While you have better availability of cabs, the turnaround on support requests is really abysmal. This will hamper your ability to break Uber’s market in India.

It’s one of the underrated and lesser known query engines in the Indian tech ecosystem. Very few people I’ve interacted with in the recent months are even aware of its capabilities. Many misconstrue it to be primarily a database - which IMO, it is not.
If you work with Parquet, JSON or CSV files, you should really write more DuckDB — here's 3 most important reasons why:. 1. It can handle datasets larger than your RAM quite efficiently.

Yep! That’s the additional benefit of reading papers. Apart from sharpening the technical intellect, it adds ideas and tools to your repertoire.
A few months back, I read a couple of papers for no apparent reason other than curiosity At that moment, i didn't have any use for the knowledge. But today, it proved useful while debugging a performance mystery in a benchmark. Currently writing about it and very excited.
