If ever you wanted to fully shore up a country's desire to get nukes, the best way to do it would be to murder all their negotiators during the negotiation. Perhaps you'd then illegally violate their sovereignty with unsuccessful air strikes. They now have no reason to believe.
Reports now in suggesting that the nuclear weapons program Iran was definitely not pursuing has only been set back a few months instead of being completely destroyed.
