Pleased to have the opportunity to share a snap shot of @1stepsnutrition decade long advocacy on infant #formula prices at #NFNC2024 ahead of the @CMAgovUK reporting any day now. High prices & exploitative marketing drive infant food insecurity in UK. 🔑 Solutions: stronger

👏👏👏 everyone needs to learn maternity- pregnancy and lactation affects us on a population level- *IT AFFECTS US ALL*
Very interesting to note how gendered representation at conferences on maternal and child nutrition. Is this why it’s such a neglected area - because it’s seen as women’s work both to provide and research? #NFNC2024

If this wasn’t a real conversation between a PM and his scientific and political advisers about a lethal pandemic, it would be funny. Sadly it is real and thoroughly depressing. Is the teaching of maths at Eton so poor? Johnson: “What is the mortality rate of Covid?” @Telegraph

Pharmacists, we need to do better for breastfeeding people. So many resources out there now - @ukdilas @NHS_SPS @BfN_UK (not to be confused with BNF) also Lactmed, Hale, etc. Any questions, please get in touch with us @amandajdacosta @pharmor10
Wouldn’t usually put something like this on Twitter but I am genuinely quite gobsmacked the hassle surrounding this issue and community pharmacists being very hesitant to prescribe medicines that are safe as per BNF and in guidelines - please revise if you see this!

I know that I'm not the only mum who's had to stop breastfeeding for chemo and then been put on domperidone (which promotes milk production). This is not good enough, can we please do more to consider breastfeeding mums in medicine @MummysStar
