This card project is difficult, but I'm enjoying it! It feels similar to type design, in that you're developing a self-contained little world, that needs to adhere to rules and conventions but, equally, within those constraints the possibilities are endless.

Before tonight's game we held a moment of silence in memoriam of Charlie Kirk. Kirk founded the youth activist group “Turning Point USA” and had become a fixture on college campuses. Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.

Had no idea how hard it was to commission a custom stained glass piece. Reached out to almost 30 studios. Only one response in the negative! Anyone by chance do custom stained glass or know someone? It is a fairly complex piece. You know me :)

You cannot be creative without creating something. An idea is nothing without execution, and how an idea is executed matters just as much as the idea itself, sometimes more. Having an idea and asking a machine do the majority of the work for you isn't creativity and it isn't art.
Real creativity and art comes from the eye/mind of the creator, not the tool. The ideas matter, not the tools used.

I designed the 50 years anniversary badge for @gracetoyou back in the day.
John MacArthur talked history at a GTY staff meeting in 2019. We were celebrating his 50th anniversary as pastor of Grace Community Church. It was GTY's 50th, too. Starting on John's first Sunday in the GCC pulpit, GTY was conceived as a ministry to shut-ins & missionaries.
