I find the Northumbria judgement troubling - police officers attend many events to engage with the public and for visibility in the community - it does not mean they agree with the views of all other organisations and individuals there.

Disappointed that @BBCNews sees Gary Lineker leaving as more important than what is happening in Gaza, Lebanon or Ukraine today.

Great to see the award of the first Elizabeth Emblems to recognise those who give their lives in the service of the public - this includes PCs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes murdered on duty 2012. Nicola’s father Bryn has worked so hard to get this award created @UK_COPS.

The low confidence in policing is not helped by confusion over so many accountability bodies or by calling PCCs “police chiefs” as this headline does

I would urge all those who donate to, fundraise for or benefit from charities to contact their MP - the Government should be investing in local community action not putting it in jeopardy

Outside London it is mainly the poorest and young people who rely on buses to get to work, school, hospital appointments and sign on at Job Centres - removing the £2 cap on fares will hit them hard.

Great that the Government is improving pay for care home staff but if local authorities and NHS do not increase funding for those needing care charities and care homes will close @BBCr4today @FatherHudsons.

Just feels the Israeli government can do what it likes - grave breaches of humanitarian laws - blocking access to journalists- attacking hospitals and destroying childhoods and futures.

The way to strengthen public confidence in policing cannot be through putting more officers through a “broken” complaints and discipline system undermining their morale in the process - not sure public and media understand how unique is our system of armed policing globally.

So Ukrainian refugees have English lessons, which are suspended during August so they can return home to see family and friends. How the hell does that work?.I would have thought it was dangerous?.I'm told we pay for this?.Message me if you have more details.
