"Agents will replace workflows” is the wrong framing. System 2 explores; System 1 executes. When the optimum is unknown, run an agentic loop. When a route wins your objective (quality/cost/p95), crystallize it into a DAG and register it as a skill your agents can call.

Karpathy calling LLMs “ghosts” validates my own feelings. They’re magical, and they’re enough potential utility there to discover and distribute for decades to come. But please, let’s not lose sight of how deep and vast the canyon is between this technology and the human mind.
An odd thing about LLMs I've been ruminating on for some time: No matter how much time, effort and tokens are expended in producing a result, there's something fundamentally 'low-calorie' and unsatisfying about the output. It's like the information being transmitted is

I realize this is likely speculative UI but the idea of having thin, grotesk type on blurred, transparent surfaces is so incredibly ill-suited for this kind of tool. Like the polar opposite of what you want. Please tell me it won't also have a capacitive touch interface 😱
See before you're seen. EagleEye enhances the warfighter’s perception by overlaying digital information onto the real world, delivering vital real-time insights.

Why do we start groaning for no reason when standing up as we get older? it's barely strenuous, yet "unnggh.. oof"?

.@aarondignan, Co-Founder of the AI startup @useplumb, on why he had to shut down his business: “We really had an inability to build a creator economy side of this equation.” "There weren't enough people that were willing to create something that they share at a low enough

Keya is the most forward-thinking and thoughtful brand designer in the AI space I've come across. I'm very fortunate to have gotten to watch her work up close. She easily takes the crown for # of 🔥 emojis in our Slack. Just constant bangers. Do not miss your chance to work with
Bittersweet news but yes @useplumb is shutting down🥲 will always be grateful that this team took a chance on a type designer finding her way in tech.❤️ Officially looking for my next brand design role, DMs open:

major life update: we are shutting down @useplumb after several years of hustling on agentic workflow automation, we have decided to hang it up what we got right: ✅ Agentic Workflows > Agents - determinism and the ability to debug still matter guys (even Open AI gets this

I first learned about Plumb when it was in its infancy, then a tool for product teams to collaboratively build AI features. I was interested in using it myself for a product I was considering going all-in on, so I signed up for an online workshop to learn more about Plumb and how
As @useplumb comes to a close, I've been reflecting on what I think was our biggest win: We built a team that's kind, shipped relentlessly, LOVED being together AND never burned each other out - all at once... I want to share a little bit about the team...

Back in SF after a couple years away. After finding a place to live, experiencing autonomous driving was up there on the agenda. It’s as good as everyone says! Filling up our U-Haul with unleaded gas and smelling the fumes, then piloting it manually with a couple low visibility

We’ve decided to sunset Plumb ( https://t.co/erfOouFBK3). Huge bummer ‘cause I love this team, had a blast working on this product, and think we did killer work in the space. On the lookout for an AI-oriented design/product engineering role. DMs open. Other very talented, and

So much armchair criticism of OAI shipping an “old school” canvas /node-based workflow builder instead of some hypothetical futuristic, voice-driven interface for designing agents. Look, for any non-trivial workflow, you *need* a visual map of what’s happening so that you can

Currently I'm orbiting around this process: 1. Slow, deliberate, mostly manual specification of requirements (with LLM feedback) 2. Slow, deliberate, mostly manual domain modeling (with LLM feedback) 3. Create a detailed, sequential implementation plan (with LLM feedback) 4. Let

❌ Only writing code by hand: Not mastering context engineering / directing coding agents to multiply leverage ❌ Only coding agents: Losing the plot after a certain point and becoming overly dependent on the agent to understand how everything fits together ✅ ???
