My great grandfather and great great grandfather fled the antisemitism and pogroms of 1883 Russia / Ukraine / Poland / Belarus. I can’t believe I am seeing this ugly disease rear its head again.

🙏 for the Skrines. It's never nice to have people flinging mud at your family. I doubt that dressing as Superman was the silliest all-age talk given this Christmas and if all our children's ministries could be as expositional as ASLP the CofE would be in a far healthier place.
@Protestia Mrs S here. In the run up to Christmas All Souls did 17 bible based gospel preaching carol services that reached over 14,000 people, in person, through the doors. We have followup Christianity Explored courses ready to go in January. The tradition at All Souls since well bef

Outrage engagement farms, including @Protestia, will have to answer for their selective mud-flinging on the Day of Judgment. All Souls is an excellent church & this is clearly a children’s service. But that doesn’t seem to matter when making money from creating online outrage.
Revd Charlie Skrine of All Souls Church Langham Place flies around as Superman, passing out candy and gifts to congregants during their Christmas service. Notably, this is the same church that John Stott used to lead.

Friends- This is a tough note to write, but since a bunch of you have started to suspect something, I’ll cut to the chase: Last week I was diagnosed with metastasized, stage-four pancreatic cancer, and am gonna die. Advanced pancreatic is nasty stuff; it’s a death sentence.

If someone spends years calling you a uniquely terrible person and then is murdered, consider responding in a way that doesn’t sort of confirm his accusations.

Annihilationism is more properly called Conditional Immortality. We are offered eternal life or eternal death. Both Eternal Conscious Punishment and Conditional Immortality are eternal in their outcomes.
Some of y’all out there stop hyperventilating. Annihilationism is not heretical or unbiblical. Some theologians have held to it. It upholds God’s holiness, justice and mercy Annihilationism is eternal punishment. It is not that they don’t believe in Hell, they just believe in

Gentle reminder to all you “Eucharist means Thanksgiving” The only Thanksgiving celebrated on the moon was by a Presbyterian Ruling Elder. Thank You Buzz Aldrin
I’m sorry but claiming that the first Thanksgiving was a Catholic mass on a beach in Florida is some SERIOUS we-wuzzery. You guys can have Halloween but Thanksgiving comes from Calvinists.

God has made a promise and there’s nothing that can finally stop that promise from coming true. Not your death, not your sin, and certainly not your doubts.

Every day I commute to work I am reminded of my Huguenot ancestor Peter Prevatt who emigrated to the US in search of religious liberty. Soli Deo Gloria.

The church is the family of God. It’s people, not a building. It’s a movement of hope and love. We are all invited to live out our faith in community with other believers. God works through the church to extend love to the whole world.
