he’d held that grief in for so long, never let himself feel it around other people, not anyone… yet here he was… with maru. “ it was my fault too… i accidentally killed them, ” the sobs got louder after admitting that, ren folding over as much as he could.
Eyes go wide at hearing this. It was so sudden and out of nowhere... Maru can't help but squeeze him a bit tighter. "I'm so sorry..."

while he was still crying and allowing himself to feel his emotions, the feeling of maru holding him… of him being there, it eased his mind some. made him realize he wasn’t alone in this grief anymore. “ i uh… lost my parents… both of them… at the same time… ”
Maru squeezed his hand, hoping his presence would be assuring and comforting enough for the other. Whatever is wrong... he wants to make it better. Somehow.

one of his hands would go to latch onto maru’s arm, holding it for comfort as there was a small sob from him. the emotions were coming out again and he didn’t even know what to say.
"That's okay... You don't have to. I'm here regardless..." He hums, holding him closer as he rests his chin atop Ren's shoulder, leaning head against his. He'll be here for as long as he needs.

there’s another shake of his head, his body resting against maru’s as more tears fell. he wasn’t ready to talk about it yet…
A few soft whispers leave Maru, hushing Ren as he slides his hand to his back to gently rub it. "Sshhh... It's okay... It's okay, I'm here. Do you wanna talk about what's wrong?"

there was a hesitation before he leaned into maru, a few tears falling from eyes again. there's a shake of his head after a few seconds, a small whimper following.
Frowning, Maru approaches slowly, getting down on his knees behind Ren before slowly wrapping arms around him for a hug. "Hey... You okay?"

looking over abruptly, hands going to wipe at eyes as though trying to hide any remaining tears. " . . . hey, uh... yeah, hi. "

there's a small laugh, nuzzling his face against maru's shoulder in embarrassment. " please tell me i didn't say anything embarrassing... " a soft exhale before he rolled onto his back and looked up at the ceiling. " i suppose worse things could have happened last night... —
"Hm? Oh! Right... Heheh..." Maru would sit up a bit, stretching afterward before slumping back down with a sigh. Turning back to Ren now, though, a blush appears upon his face before he scratches his cheek. "I don't mind it either... It was really comfy... and nice..."

" god, my dad is gonna kill me... drinking... bringing you home overnight... " rubbing eyes again, he'd look back over at maru, " not that... i mind waking up next to you... " he'd assure with the words softly with a smile, " did i drink almost that whole bottle by myself? "
"That's probably from the wine..." Grumbling just a bit as he's still waking up, he looks around a bit, almost forgetting that he ended up with Ren last night before yawning quietly. "Hm? No, I don't remember meeting anyone..."

there's an instant smile, those worries seemed to ease away now. like they weren't that big of a deal in the end, " i have a headache, " ren would murmur to the other, giving a grin now. " good morning... . . . did we like... run into anyone when we came in last night? or... "
With all the talking now, Maru was actually starting to stir. Squirming a bit around, eyes finally flutter open to look around before landing on Ren. A small smile forms at the sight of him, with Maru leaning his head against him. "Mmmph... Morning..."

there's a sudden realization, " how the fuck... am i going to get you past my family... " murmured softly, a soft laugh as he watched the other quietly... he'd never done the sneaking around... having boys over type of thing... that was never him but yet... now... " fuck... "
A small smile appears upon Maru's face, comfortably resting against Ren. After their talk the previous night, he didn't quite expect to end up sleeping with him. But... he wouldn't exactly mind. This was really nice...

there was quiet amused noise from ren at maru bringing himself closer as eyes were opened again and he looked over, a soft exhale as his hand went to rest on maru's arm. . . . this was new... as was the hangover... a quiet hum.
Maru was purring, again, with how comfortable he was in bed right now. Though, the small shift from Ren made him groan as he reached for him, bringing himself closer. Sleep little alien...
