What a horrifying comment coming from a political party, showing a complete lack of understanding of how colonialism has caused systemic inequities, entrenched racism, widespread injustice, and the loss of countless innocent lives… #bcpoli
Even worse. An NDP MLA and the Conservative House Leader are hugging each other in joy over the idea that Canada is stolen land. Our ancestors built this civilization from an untamed wilderness. They didn't steal it.

This is deeply troubling. Denying colonialism’s devastating impacts is not just disrespectful - it disregards human rights. Recognizing Indigenous lands is about truth and healing. Why would an MLA focus on this instead of meaningful work for their constituents? #bcpoli
One BC leader @Dallas_Brodie is introducing a private members bill that would make it unlawful for publicly funded institutions including teachers to be forced to perform land acknowledgements. She calls land acknowledgements the “anthem of a suicidal nation.” #bcpoli

Here’s more on how OneBC is “making a killing” by using taxpayer money to produce an anti-Indigenous, residential school denailism propaganda film. Exploiting the public purse to produce propaganda is pretty on brand for OneBC, but its totally scandalous. https://t.co/8GIZ9wsYAe

New piece for @CDN_Dimension talking about the far-right strategy to undermine truth and reconciliation: “flooding the zone” with residential school denialism:
canadiandimension.com
In light of BC MLA Dallas Brodie’s persistent residential school denialism, it’s important to understand these actions as part of a broader far-right strategy. To help people better recognize this...

Yesterday, on behalf of the government of Canada, I joined the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc to unveil plaques recognizing the Former Kamloops Indian Residential School as a National Historic Site. These plaques honour the memory of those who survived and the many who never came home.

As I’ve said, residential school denialism is for the losers. No surprise, then, that OneBC would recruit Jim. 🤝

As communities across Canada celebrate Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas, we’re reminded of the power of light, hope, and renewal. May these celebrations bring peace, joy, and time to reflect on the values that bring us together.
