Is @bcbs_companies not covering allergy testing anymore? Infant with hives after topical exposure to peanut butter was tested as a precaution prior to giving it orally (and +) but insurance says it's not covered per parent. If covered, what is the magic code to use? #insurance.

#MedTwitter - Do you routinely screen patients for #LongCovid symptoms? If so, what do you ask?. If there are positive responses, how do you further evaluate & code it?. We'll never know how many people are affected if we don't ask or have a system in place to report findings.

This is very sad when you consider the things that bring a pediatrician the best financial reward are not related to treating kids. The years of training in her specialty of choice are not paying bills. Pediatricians are vastly undervalued with our healthcare plan.
My hourly rates as a pediatrician in Southern California: . Clinical pediatrics: $105/hr. Locums: $2,000 per 24 hr call + $200/hr for every hr worked. VA disability: ~$250/hr. Aesthetics: ~$650/hr .(revenue - expenses = profit). Expert witness, consulting, and writing: $700/hr.
