While this could be true and Ma’am would have seen it in her clinic, I fear that this is limited to only a small section of society (mostly in the top socio economic strata). I don’t think it would apply to 90% of India where gender roles and patriarchy are in full swing.
This is purely my observation over the last decade in India. I feel for men in India. Especially, for the men of the current generation. Society still expects them to be in a certain way, to conduct their life in a certain way. But Indian society has loosened it's grip on the
