About 15 years ago, I had a very vivid image of a moment of story, a character caught with the stain of a sacred blue dye on her arm. Last night, I finished the last page of The Firelight Isle. Thank you to everyone who didn't give up on it, even when it took an age!

I've comped and collaged a lot of NASA photography into my art! Starfields, galaxies, nebulae, planetary surfaces. There's a truly inspiring and jaw dropping collection there.

Going to try and revive this account lol! Been working hard in the background to finish The Firelight Isle, and I'll definitely be running the Kickstarter for the third and last book this year.

The first book I ever had published, over 15 years ago now, can still be found on the shelves of major bookstores. I was paid £3000 against royalties for over 200 pages, and I haven't earned back my advance yet. I've never received a royalty cheque for comics in my whole career.

Wow, just catching wind of the new comics tag. This is utterly brutal stuff, but sadly not unexpected. I've been exceptionally lucky in my professional life, and the comic industry has still nearly broken me more than once.

Wow, are there such a thing as artist bot accounts now? It's been ages since I did an open call for work on Twitter and I'm getting replies from accounts that all seem to format their tweets the same way with the same hashtag groups, and don't obviously appear to be real artists.
