As soon as @diabrowser releases vertical tabs, I'm giving it a go. @joshm when public release? 👀

@productboard Still early days in this experiment, but it’s clear this direction has serious potential. Curious to hear from others - have you discovered any killer use cases for internal tooling? Would love to talk more about it!

@productboard What excites me most is that this gives designers real influence over implementation. The system understands that a navigation component is not just a row of buttons. It needs keyboard access, ARIA roles, responsive behavior, and routing awareness.

@productboard 1. Designer shares a Figma file 2. The system identifies the pattern 3. It researches similar examples and best practices 4. It generates a component with full behavior 5. Automation takes care of formatting, validation, and commits 6. Everything is deployed for preview

@productboard 🎯 Smart automation Every time code is written, a series of tasks run automatically : • Prettier and ESLint formatting • Design token checks to prevent hardcoded styles • Component registration • Visual and behavioral testing • Semantic Git commits • Preview deployment

@productboard Here’s what I’ve been working on: 🧠 Pattern recognition Paste in a Figma link, and the system figures out what kind of component it is. Navigation, form, card.. it identifies the pattern and applies best practices from the start.

I’ve been exploring AI-powered design-to-code workflows at @productboard , and the results are honestly exciting. 🔥 Using Claude Code, I’ve been testing a new way to build UI components and patterns that makes the handoff between design and engineering almost seamless.

Since the rise of tools like Cursor, Lovable, and v0, I’ve picked up more practical skills in the last few months than I have in years. Designers aren’t about to replace developers, but the opportunity to become true generalists and build your own mini-startup is great!
