Not sure this is true. 100k gross is now about 71,617 net. With new NSSF rates in February 2026, the change in reduction will be from 4320 (currently) to 6,000 shillings. Net will be something like 70,444 shillings
2026 Outlook If you earn 100K. Your take home will shrink from 71K to around 65K P.M. It's good we all pay taxes so that we can make this country a Singapore of Africa with the help of Dad.

"back to their culture" yes but not with language. Unless you are talking of Nairobi/Mombasa, everywhere else in this country people from age 3- 100+ speak their native language everytime. No way you'll find young people in Kitui not speaking Kamba
I have noticed an intentional and consistent effort to get young Kikuyu people back to their culture. It’s organized and widespread. The language is being spoken more even on socials, learning traditions and customs, events, songs… even the use of “Thayu” in casual conversations
