Community college students can sigh with relief over the release of state funding. PACCC Chair Dr. Tuesday Stanley: “With the funding delay behind us, the colleges look forward to continuing to do what they do best – preparing students to meet workforce needs in all 67 counties.”

PA’s 15 community colleges have yet to receive funding approved in the state’s budget. Take action to urge legislators to release the funds without further delay. 245,000 students and 17,600 employees are counting on it! https://t.co/UrQUbRTA5u #CountingOnPA

PA’s community colleges haven't received operating funds in the state’s FY 2023-24 budget. It is critical that the General Assembly pass legislation authorizing the release of funding with urgency to prevent employees and students from being impacted.

Now signed by Gov. Shapiro, PA’s 2023-24 budget includes a 2% increase for community colleges. While the need for more investment remains, the colleges will maximize every dollar to make education affordable, meet workforce training needs and strengthen the state’s economy.
