In a donor meetup, we met 120 passionate friends of NGOs, donors & business community to strengthen🇷🇴 civil society assisting vulnerable🇺🇦refugees & their🇷🇴host communities. Under the @GuvernulRo auspice, we cohosted w/ @AmbasadaSUA, @FranceRomania & @RCERomania. Great exchanges!

At the National Conference for the Integration of forcibly displaced persons, I outlined the importance of measuring protection & assistance programs according to the concrete impact on the lives of refugees we serve. Coordination & referrals between service-providing NGOs is key

What is happening in Lebanon & in the region is terrible. Today, UNHCR staff in Romania and around the world kept a minute of silence for our killed colleagues, as a testimony of solidarity & to remind that violence on civilians & humanitarian workers is inadmissible.

Today, on National Firefighters Day 🇷🇴, I would like to acknowledge and thank them for their outstanding dedication & support, offered to 🇺🇦 refugees arriving in Romania since the first day of the crisis. Mulțumim pentru munca depusă!

We have witnessed another terrible attack on civilians in 🇺🇦. As part of the prompt response on the ground, UNHCR came together with local partners and delivered necessary assistance and core-relief items. The need for support continues.
