After 5 days on hold, HERCULES has left Downey #California ACC as part of a mass pull heading north. The shelter has always been very good with sharing these events - hope to have more soon. #A4919045

Rocko was an autistic child's pet. The visiting kid likely did something threatening, to the dog's perception. The idiot family dumped this poor puppy and the NYC ACC made no effort to place Rocko—and killed him today. Happy Monday from New York, where no politicians give a damn.

Goldie's notes. One of 8000+ dogs killed every week in shelters across the USA. About 400-450k a year. After years of decline (estimates in the '70s are 14 million a year 😱) We might creep back over half a million murdered.

Along with the weekend carnage at #NYCACC, we lost 5 dogs at Downey #California ACC. Most were rescue only. Common thread was they were scared & defensive. GOLDIE ⬇ was also shy, but those eyes! more ⬇ #A5728644

So so sad that these ppl in nyc or Texas or Calif kill shelters csnt give our seniors that dignity. I’m afraid it going to get worse before better unless good loving ppl are able to step up we need a new generation to be the voices of our beloved angels our puppies 💙💙💙
