People who gave evidence to the #MotherAndBabyHomes Commission are contacting the Data Protection Commissioner & gardaí about the destruction of audio recordings of their testimony. A number of witnesses say they would not have testified if they knew the audio would be deleted.

When it was pointed out that one of the victims had tried to take her own life, a member in one forum asked "Was she hot?" Legislation on image-based sexual abuse is urgently needed. If you see anyone sharing this type of material, call them out. It is not okay.

This is such a mess. When a witness who gave testimony to the #MotherAndBabyHomes Commission tried to report the destruction of her audio recording to gardaí, they told her to contact police in England (where she now lives), police today referred her *back* to gardaí.
