We call on publishers that do not yet make their abstracts openly available to join our initiative and to deposit their abstracts to Crossref; this will improve the discoverability of their content and support open science practices

Thanks to the support given by many publishers to #I4OA, abstracts are currently openly available through Crossref for 39% of all recently published journal articles; Wiley's support for #I4OA will increase this to about 45%
