The object of basketball is to score more points than the other team . Scoring points is good. Not bad. Odd this needs to be said but here we are :). (8).

Lastly, “PRA” is mainly just a term used in sports betting or in fantasy basketball . I haven’t really seen it used by a credible scout/reporter/analyst when talking/analyzing the game or discussing a player’s performance before. (7).

No one messed up & runs are simply part of the nba game. It’s a game of runs. It is what it is . A lot of the advanced stats I see posted I think to myself, correlation does not equal causation . Again, they can be helpful sometimes . But context is key. And so is the film . (6).

Play vs your opponent’s better players, how often you happen to be on the court or off when your team or other team goes on a run. Which might be b/c you’re a bad player but it is more likely that either one of your teammates messed up or other team went on a run. Or, maybe .(5).

Pretty much the only examples I can really think of off the top of my head . Advanced stats are helpful but can often be misleading. They are often skewed based on how good your teammates are, how many mins you play w/ your team’s better players, how many mins you happen to.(4).

You watch the film & his defense was so bad that he was basically giving up more points on D than he was producing on O. Malcolm Brogdon when he was on the Celtics was kind of empty stats. Scored points but his defense was bad & he was often a ball stopper. But those are .(3).

I mean, sure, some guys are like empty stats type of players. But I think there’s way fewer of them than some of y’all seem to think. Like a few years ago in his prime, Andre Drummond was empty stats. Vucevic even when he was getting lots of hype a few years ago for the Magic.(2).

PSA: scoring points in basketball is good. So is getting rebounds. So are assists . They are all good things. Getting them helps your team win . Obviously they aren’t the be all, end all stats for player performance . But neither is some all in 1 advanced stat. “PRA” is not bad

Could be Utah’s PG of the future . Should be interesting to see who wins the battle for more mins between him & Collier.

Not only does Alijah Arenas wear his dad’s number 0. But I just realized he has the same FT routine where he puts the ball around his back & brings it back in front of him before shooting . #nbadraft
