A positive response from any government would be to educate people and further tackle the waiting lists - even Right to Choose can be slow. End the stigma and don't be one of those people who claims we're 'all autistic', it's a 'label' or 'nonsense'. It's offensive!

When I see the struggles my son goes through sometimes, from making friends to focusing on learning and sensitivity to certain situations, particularly around noise, it's offensive to suggest other kids feel 'left out'.

Neurodiversity is complex and not easy to understand. I'm still learning. Different people are affected in different ways. I doubt Tice has the first clue about the majority of it and probably thinks ADHD kids are just badly behaved but if Reform wants to govern, they must learn.

We filled in endless book-like forms before our son was seen by a specialist, followed by a 2hr interview with us before the reams of information was assessed. We have to start the process again for ADHD and it took 1-2yrs - pretty quick in comparison to some.

If kids are being misdiagnosed, I'm not sure how. If anything, many are missing out. Long waiting lists are a huge problem and many - particularly girls who are often good at masking their symptoms - are going under the radar.

A video of this popped up on my feed. As a parent of a recently diagnosed autistic child, it massively angers me to hear stuff like this. Tice's speech is full of nonsense. 'Overdiagnosis', kids without a label feeling 'left out' and ear defenders in class being 'ridiculous'...

And to think people were writing him off before he’d even played - and calling for Martinez instead! 🙈
