While I’d like to wish a simple “happy new year, all my friends,” it doesn’t seem appropriate with the strikes occurring in Ukraine. I can’t help hoping for an absolutely horrible 2023 for Putin and all those who execute these crimes against Ukraine & humanity.

The hell with it … even though Starlink is still losing money & other companies are getting billions of taxpayer $, we’ll just keep funding Ukraine govt for free

We thank the “Ministry of Defense” of 🇷🇺 for successful cooperation in organizing the "Izyum 2.0" exercise. Almost all russian troops deployed to Lyman were successfully redeployed either into body bags or into 🇺🇦 captivity. We have one question for you: Would you like a repeat?

Genome-scale modeling drives 70-fold improvement of intracellular heme production in Saccharomyces cerevisiae https://t.co/qDJMIWFBUl

Heme is an oxygen carrier and a cofactor of both industrial enzymes and food additives. The intracellular level of free heme is low, which limits the synthesis of heme proteins. Therefore, increasing...

Using genome-scale metabolic modelling, biosensor and experimentation we increased heme production in yeast.

Heme is produced naturally in budding yeast, which has been used by humans for thousands of years (e.g., for bread). We engineered a strain of yeast to produce 70 times more heme, using techniques of...

No consensus in negotiations yet. Ukraine’s position is clear: ceasefire, security guarantees, no compromises on territorial integrity. But Russia sticks to ultimatums. To stimulate a more constructive approach we need two things: more sanctions and more military aid for Ukraine.

Talked to @Nestle CEO Mr. Mark Schneider about the side effect of staying in Russian market. Unfortunately, he shows no understanding. Paying taxes to the budget of a terrorist country means killing defenseless children&mothers. Hope that Nestle will change its mind soon.

Some want to live in a simple world where Putin is solely responsible for the war. The reality is that someone actually drops bombs on Ukrainian cities, shoots evacuees, forms ‘Zs’, backs Putin in surveys. Like in 1930s, they bear responsibility, even if poisoned by propaganda.
