The Barley Mow, Kirk Ireton, #Derbyshire ๐ป Landlady Lilian Ford spent all her 89 years here and refused all things modern. And didnโt trust the introduction of decimalisation. The pub was famously one of the last establishments in the country to accept it.

@oldmudgie @TheLincolnImp @tanglefoot_tony Walked into a pub in the Chilterns that had just reopened after a makeover and "Straight Outta Compton" by N.W.A. came on as I walked up to the bar. Fortunately, someone noticed and turned it off 0:14 seconds in, just in the nick of time.
