“He’s gone where? Oh my god, to Morrisons! To do a f*cking photoshoot sniffing a loaf of f*cking bread! You know they’ll keep moving him until they get a photo of the twat in front of a sign reading ‘moron’?

Hello new followers, here is my hot Finland tip When Finnish people say: “I don’t speak English very well” They mean: “I won’t be able to peer-review your paper on biomolecular synthesis rn but I promise to improve my understanding of molecular biology by the next time we meet”

the fact that @apple still doesn't understand that people get _injured_ or need rest days is really deeply un-user-centric - speaking from an injured runner's perspective, who has just been shamed about not closing my rings https://t.co/R0YNVJPecS

At this time on a Saturday, Ashton Lane will be buzzing with people making merry at its many bars and restaurants. But back in 1933 it was lined with Victorian stables, mews buildings and small workshops. That's Jinty McGuinty's on the left. 📷 Glasgow City Archives

Shop front maintenance on Byres Rd at Ashton Lane, back in 1933. Once packed with workshops and stables, it's now a social hub full of bars, shops, and restaurants. 📷 Glasgow City Archives

Satamatunnelin suuaukko ja betonirakenteet uhkaavat tuhota merkittävän osan Lapinlahden puiston eteläreunan luonto- ja virkistysarvoja! Varmistetaan yhdessä, ettei lähiluonnollemme ja kulttuuriperinnöllemme aiheuteta kohtuutonta ja peruuttamatonta vahinkoa ! #KaikkienLapinlahti

When you tell people you studied at Glasgow Uni … the building people think you spent your time in versus the one you did 😬😂

As I’ve said for years Finnglish is both a more magical and brutally honest form of English than English ever could.
More literal English translations of Finnish words: pavement = foot corridor zebra crossing = protection road block of flats = layer house bus = line car park = collection of trees

A powerful and valuable reminder to us all 🙏 @Sonia_Sparkles In #humanfactors we seek to reveal ‘work as done’ over ‘work as imagined’ but can tend to focus more on those delivering than receiving care support. There is much hidden work for people navigating complex care systems

Who else copy/pastes text into Notepad and then copy/pastes the same text back into their original app just to remove formatting?

Just found out about donkey nannies, which are donkeys used to carry newborn lambs down the mountains for seasonal grazing.

First experience of these new film damaging scanners at @HelsinkiAirport . Asked nicely and was given a hand check so no damaged film. Top tip: loose the boxes for 35mm, they had to open and inspect each one.

The opposite of user research is guessing. Ironically, many organizations base their most important decisions (what to build, how it should work) on almost no user research (who are the users, what would improve their life?). Complete guesses. Don’t guess. Do the research.
