Don did well not to cave to the 9 year player option.
Harley Reid will have the capacity to hit the $2million per year mark with incentives in his two-year extension. There isn't the nine-year player option included in the deal. Hawthorn was coming hardest in the end & loomed as his go-to if he looked to leave the Eagles. @AFLcomau.

Sad to see Oscar go but his move to Brisbane is a win-win. WCE get pick 2, Oscar gets 6 years and Lion’s improve their chance at a flag next year. If WCE matched the 6 year deal, the media would be smashing them for financial recklessness and missed opportunity for high end picks.
