Dogs have done deal for more flexibility in the draft. Eagles because they have five list spots and can only carry in first five picks to draft, so may as well get something before picks get taken away. Last year Dogs traded F3 for Sam Davidson pick, now have that back for a F4.

International trips are back on the agenda for the Marsh AFL Academy - in December, the boys Academy and then the girls Academy will spend a week each in New Zealand as the League brings back its overseas component of the Academy program.

West Coast father-son prospect Charlie Banfield, the son of Eagles premiership gun Drew, is also in this group, with his nomination to be lodged without guarantees on any selection.

Father-son paperwork has been lodged for Kalani White (Melb), Will Darcy (WB) and Louis Kellaway (Rich). This isn't a guarantee on the clubs selecting them or matching a bid at any point, but is the initial step in nomination process.

Carlton has officially nominated Harry Dean as a father-son ahead of this year's draft. Clubs have to nominate prospects before the October 31 deadline as the first step of access to F/S players. Dean, the son of Peter, is set to be Carlton's earliest ever father-son pick.
