An interesting question is how much Hasina knows about the extent of the protests going on in the country, and how much people have turned against her personally. Is she being informed about the protests, and seen images of them, or is all this being hidden from her? Whatever

In Bangladesh, a brutal crackdown on the student protests against controversial quotas for coveted government jobs left more than 150 people dead. The families of the victims are demanding a government apology.

Protests in Bangladesh are once again gaining steam. This was both predictable and understandable. The scale of the government's brutal response to the initial protests, its refusal to acknowledge blame, and all the pent-up public anger, has let the genie out of the bottle.

Islamophobia is on the rise in Canada and we need to take this seriously! :( "There is evidence that this was a planned, premeditated act and that the family was targeted because of their Muslim faith," said Waight. https://t.co/aN9D8T2KYF
