This is the argument that @carljackmiller is setting out now at #DisinfoCon2024 @DemocracyR. It's not about just tackling #disinformation but disrupting #influenceoperations.
(1) We've misunderstood the problem. The vast majority of the work in this area describes the problem as 'disinformation'. It isn't. The things that actually injure democracies are (often hidden) influence campaigns that sometimes use disinformation, but other tactics too.
