The thing about large language models like GPT-3 and Lambda describing the experience of being self-aware is they can also describe the experience of being a squirrel. https://t.co/eih4254FBT

Made two @Sonic_Pi tutorials about the density function. 1st video is an introduction to how the density function works: https://t.co/Hmkrdg85O0 2nd video is about using the density function to make Trap-style hi hats for a drum beat: https://t.co/08xJl2Eaos

I haven't played No Man's Sky for nearly 3 years (or any other game either, until recently). However, its latest update reminds me of all the fun stuff I feel they keep adding to the game, so I'm thinking of getting back into it! https://t.co/Npo6RDoCdS How should I do this?

Tired of generic greetings? Confuse your friends with AI-generated Valentine cards! GPT-3 generated the messages and descriptions, and then I followed its instructions to create the cards. https://t.co/4vUQNDo2wS

An interesting question for all video game enthusiasts...🤔
I don’t know if video games can, in their fundamental essence — vis a vis gameplay mechanics — be seen as art or whether they’re just media that contains art (such as visual art, music, narrative). Can the core gameplay mechanics of games really be seen as art?

Maybe something like - if you have: define :my_synth do |opts| synth :pulse, note: opts[:note], pulse_width: opts[:pulse_width] synth :tri, note: opts[:note] - 12, cutoff: opts[:cutoff] end You could use: synth :my_synth, amp: 1, note: 60, pulse_width: 0.25, cutoff: 90

I might attempt to hack a feature into @Sonic_Pi (at least in my own dev build) so that if you make a function that layers several synths, (not using Supercollider language), you can play it with the synth function as normal (including autocompletion).

Thread: an artist’s experience turning AI-generated imagery into a comic. Fascinating not just for technical detail but also on what worked and what didn’t.
So this weekend, armed with a couple of AI art programs, I started noodling around to see what I could do, and if I could put together one of my Weird Little Comic ideas using mostly retouched computer generated imagery. These nine pages were the result.

Is there anybody out there who has (or knows someone who has) experience with @wixtoolset, that might be willing to help us make @Sonic_Pi's install location customisable on Windows? We have https://t.co/uQDXgv7XIV but I have not been able to get it to work so far...
github.com
(Hopefully) allows the user to choose the installation directory instead of always installing in Program Files. Closes issue #2782 and discussion #2774 I'm not familiar with WIX or how it w...

Next on the list of (small) things I'm doing to make Sonic Pi contribution easier: I'm now using the 'good first issue' label in our GitHub issues page to mark issues that *should* be relatively easy to work on without loads of technical knowledge 🙂 https://t.co/QBMhz3U0c7

If any of the ideas there sound interesting for you to contribute towards, let us know! We'd love to work out a way that you might be able to help 🙂

First up: Ever had a great idea for a new Sonic Pi feature? We now have a publicly visible project board on GitHub for tracking this. You can view the ideas that people have proposed, and what state they're in. (The ideas, not the people 😜). See: https://t.co/jA0qG1Y0se.

Over the next little while, I will be doing several things to work towards making it easier for interested people to help to improve @Sonic_Pi. Small things to begin with, but every little bit helps!
