Should 'meaty' terms be allowed for plant-based food. I always think it weird when vege looks like eg a rasher a bacon. But then why not ๐คท https://t.co/woFfdiDGDW

Most people will look nostalgically at this photo of the hotels in Aviemore. My first reaction was โlook at the size of the snow wreaths on Cairn Gorm for mid-Mayโ. Such is the life of a chionophileโฆ <sighs>

@HudaAmmori Will the editor @sanglesey & editorial staff of The New World be arrested? will their web team be arrested for publishing this on their web site? Will those who purchase the magazine from newsagents be arrested? Will newsagents be arrested for displaying it?This'll be interesting

It always surprises me what posts do well and what donโt do so well. Anyway, the geese over the Forth valley have made the World Service.
Thousands of pink-footed geese create stunning patterns in the sky. They arrive in Scotland each autumn, migrating from Iceland and Greenland. ๐บ How do birds migrate thousands of kilometres every year? Watch on our YouTube channel: https://t.co/xvxPd27VBO

The fellas at the Greens have voted to โabolish landlordsโ Iโm in favour of tackling bad landlords, but abolish them all & some people will find themselves homeless The state will not give every renter a home This is like sixth form politics, beautifully idealistic but unworkable

I wish I felt we had politicians remotely equal to the task of thinking about how we find ways to provide safe, dignified, reliable care for an ageing population. But I don't see them, anywhere. Well done to the BBC for investing in this report. It's a distressing read.
โI heard women screaming from behind closed doors because male carers were doing their intimate care.โ

I am admittedly a bear of very little brain, and tend towards reactionary old man-ism, but I can't quite square Starmer's "no we haven't put anyone at risk with our rhetoric" with "these people are our enemies and this is an existential fight for the soul of our nation"
