Proper boolean for Nomad 1.79, using @EmmettLalish Manifold library! Can be used with Trim, Split but also as a replacement to the Voxel boolean remeshing option in the scene menu. As always it tries to keep everything: UV, layers, but also opened holes.

Replacing the soft shadow options with a better “angle” option for directional light. Same for spot and point lights with a “size” option. With a single directional light and no postprocess, you can get interesting result. (programmer art…)

A bit experimental but paint smoothing has now a screen smoothing option, that can be used on high poly mesh, effectively being topology independent (similarly to the smudge tool). By default it’s enabled once the paint intensity is >100%

Nomad 1.57 is out! The Insert tool has a new feature that might not be straightforward: a mesh can align with the surface normal by using its custom gizmo position as an anchor point.

Added an option to run the voxel remesher in a lower resolution and then reproject the details. That way it can run faster and you can keep some lower resolution. It’s mostly for mid-high poly, for low poly the reprojection will start to act funny.

You can import back textures from Procreate on 1.65 (export directly from obj). Not sure yet if I'll save the textures internally though, it's mostly meant for rendering purposes. Textures editing isn't planned.

In addition to Procreate obj export button, you can also import glTF. Because of iOS security sandboxing, you always need to include the associated files when sharing/importing. Either by selecting folder, multiple selected files or zip.

If you can’t get your models and textures out of #procreate and into #nomadculpt then watch this little video. Super simple. Make sure you have updated to 1.65 Next we need to be able to capture vertex paint to texture and vice versa. Thanks @nomadsculpt

I'm changing the way autosave works for the next release. The previous way wasn't robust (big file can't be saved on background). There won't be autosave on exit anymore, but a popup that overrides the project every -x- minutes (with a ~5s timer if you want to cancel the save).

iPad Pro M1 seems to currently limit to 5GB the memory a single app can use. I hope it will be resolved in a future iOS update.

If you can't interact with primitives widgets (cylinder, tube) with the stylus, it's a bug that'll be fixed on next release. Until then you can go in Gesture menu and make sure Sculpt Finger/Stylus is set to Any.

If you are on 1.64 but you can't open some files saved during 1.62 or 1.63, checking "keep topology" should do the trick.

Forgot to mention it, but it's iOS exclusive, not Android! There probably won't be an Android version, unless Exoside is ok with it (we'll see how the iOS version goes first) For desktop, it'll likely be an external plugin (similarly to Blender).
