Wonder what was paid to bring in a 29yo Kenyan? Does this negatively impact WSU’s ability to give scholarships to graduating HS kids? Can @WSUCougarXCTF not develop 18-19 year olds so that they have to buy seasoned runners? We should be creating more opportunities for HS kids.

NCAA programs are paying a 3rd party upwards of $50k (or more) to sign & get one international athlete into the country. With reduced roster spots the opportunities for US high schoolers is dwindling. This should be getting more attention @NCAA @USTFCCCA.
@wada_ama THE FALLOUT:. It’s not development. It’s athlete trafficking. These athletes are treated like short-term investments. Meanwhile, clean athletes lose out. And scarce scholarships/roster opportunities are pulled from U.S. high schoolers. I believe we can do better.
