Farmers feeding sheep oranges in Mildura area. These oranges didn’t meet quality standards (buggered if I could figure out why - sounds like too big and some too wrinkly??) so local farmers take them for their sheep. Good source of N apparently!

A couple at pub in Tibooburra, NSW saw Joey, Rooey and I enjoying a quiet one. They took this photo and loved the idea of father and daughter touring the outback together. Guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree after all ...at least I know what I’ll look like in 40yrs 😆

Cordillo Downs woolshed built in 1883 with 88 stands. In 1888 they shore 82,000 sheep with hand shears!! Turned cattle station in 1942. Located about 150km south of Birdsville. Unreal to think young fellas from Adelaide used to ride their pushbikes up here wanting work 🐑🐑

@MurrayWatt Australia is also recognised as a leading exporter of live animals! We can have a strong processing sector and a strong live export industry, they are synergistic! especially for WA sheep industry! @livestock_the @younglivex @TEMarkets @steven_bolt4
Australian meat processing is recognised as the best in the world and the Albanese Govt wants to do more of it, as part of our plan to make more things here. Thanks to the team at JBS in Rocky for the tour today and explaining the challenges facing the industry.
