Republican politicians fear their base, while Democratic politicians don’t. That’s why we are in this mess

Imagine a world in which the establishment had chosen not to support a man who is anti-choice, voted against the PRO Act, has been dubbed "Big Oil's Favorite Democrat," and helped sabotage the President's agenda for working families and to combat climate change.

“Trust me, I’m against states passing voting laws simply because they have a majority. But if the Senate passes this voting law by a simple majority, lawmakers will be able to pass laws in the future with nothing but a simple majority! That would be chaos!” - Kyrsten Sinema

For those saying "there isn't much more the US government can do," look at what someone in Japan gets sent when they test positive for COVID so that they can recover and isolate. We need to push our leaders to do more, and stop excusing their inaction.

Losing the community college part sucks. Mainstream Democrats want to make education "accessible" around the margins... until threatens the usage of expensive education, and the debt it accrues, as a disciplinary tool to coerce people into the workforce as currently constructed.

New - Biden told House progressives tuition-free community college is out of package, per multiple sources. Child tax credit won’t go as far as some would like — likely a 1-yr extension. Home health care likely less than $250B. Dems had wanted $400B. Climate change still a debate
