The Hub should LP into the $TIA & $DYDX / $ATOM pools on Osmosis & make sure they have the highest liquidity. This way, folks coming to Cosmos from the EVM world through Celestia or dYdX have a higher chance of wanting to use ATOM as their preferred currency on the Interchain.

Prop 848: It's not about the Hub's security 🚫🛡️. The bond ratio will likely not be impacted. There is a no correlation between the APR and the bond ratio in Cosmos. Hub has been running on 7% inflation for the most of 2021 and it had no impact on the amount of ATOM staked.

The abstain mechanism is broken if a prop passes like this because validators are punished for not voting through incentives like the ICF delegation program. Over 50% abstain should be a rejected, or rather, an "abstained" proposal imo. Nobody cares? Let's not enact it then.

Why would you vote yes on the Hub LPing into stATOM/ATOM on Osmosis?. - Hub maintains ownership of funds (it's not a grant!).- Deeper liquidity in the token pair prevents price spikes that make borrowing harder (due to liquidation risks).- More ATOM usage in DeFi = more demand.

The prop 818 debate just goes to show that we should be allowed to delegate our vote to non-validators. Validators aren't the only stakeholders in the network, and in this case they all have some conflict of interest. Yes, you can overrule their vote, but the majority doesn't.

Why don't we introduce a base fee for validators? . Take the staking rewards, make sure each validator gets a couple hundred $ in tokens each month. Use the rest to distribute fairly based on voting power. Can't let a bear be the reason for validators to leave a network.

TeeNode is a malicious actor. Do not delegate to them. This validator is currently jailed because they didn't participate in the upgrade (lol). If you ever delegated to TeeNode, or recently to "Interchain" (not us!!), redelegate now.
Recently, a validator named TeeNode renamed their profile to prompting confusion. Neither the ICF nor the Interchain Labs team is affiliated with the validator. The team will contact the validator to remediate the situation, and avoid misrepresentation.

Are there any chains that provide higher staking reward payouts based on longer bonding periods?. I.e. you stake $OSMO with bonding period of 1 year and you earn ~4x what someone earns who bonds for 14 days. Seems like a no-brainer if you wanna reduce liquid supply, no?.

If you haven't voted on prop 985 yet, please do. Hypha has been responsible for seriously improving the Cosmos Hub's testnet and mainnet upgrade process in the last few years and we need them to continue doing such an incredible job.
Our 2024 mandate ended in December, but the testnets team is optimistically hard at work on the Hub this January. We're working with Interchain Labs to bring the first upgrade of 2025 to the Cosmos Hub mainnet while we wait for the results of our 2025 funding proposal. 1/4.

First off, I really think the best way forward is a series of modular proposals that work independently, but thrive when combined. I want to avoid a large & overwhelming whitepaper that's hard to take in and rework when needed. We want granular feedback on a per-feature basis.

Should ICS revenue be directed to ATOM stakers directly like how it's currently works? . Or should it be captured in a protocol owned vault so the Hub can build a stake in these networks, make sure lower tier vals get paid, and potentially could buy back ATOM later?.
