The title of the paper is "Reflexive Co-Design: A Participatory Design Protocol for Socially Responsible Information Technology Based on Responsible Research and Innovation." I tried to connect Co-Design and Responsible Research and Innovation, focusing on web search technology.

I don't know how close we can get to the final goal by continuing our research, but I would be more than happy if it is introduced in various places and the circle of people who think about how to support the difference expands.

In a world where advanced and huge technological service, such as generative AI, are brought mainly from the U.S., how to support the differences in values among countries, regions, and cultures is a big research theme. Fairness is a concept with such differences.

I found that a web article in Forbes shares research that compares AI fairness among the UK, the US, and Japan, which was conducted by @DrSimoneStumpf and our team members around 2020. https://t.co/KXw8g0dnf9 Thank you for giving me such an opportunity!

There has been a massive earthquake in Japan, but I am safe. I am hoping for the earliest safety of the people affected by the disaster.

In addition to the fairness study, the press release says that Fujitsu's AutoML technology has also decided to be started as an OSS project. I'm also happy with that!

After the publication of our paper in 2021, many people made efforts to start this project. When I heard the decision to start of the project, I was so happy that I had goosebumps. I'm surprised because I never expected our research to become a contributor to the OSS.

In the figure below, no non-white female candidates are accepted in a loan decision, but there doesn't seem to be any discrimination when only one attribute is considered.
