Now bi-wired. Decided I didn’t need terminal blocks and soldered it straight to the speaker terminals. Goodbye warranty.

New speaker has separate woofer and tweeter but no crossover. I am going to bi-wire it into IKEA Symfonisk circuit board

I decided the mega Hifi speaker was far too big and have bought a more reasonable sized one instead with a 16.5cm woofer. It is a Biamp CM608 - which is suitable for bathrooms.

Slightly dismayed to discover there is such a mixture of overhead power systems on Europe’s railways. Will everyone slowly move towards 25kV? Or locomotives continue to have to cope with multiple voltages?.

Which audio codec does a normal phone call over 4G use? Presumably it doesn’t use the 13kbit/sec GSM 06.10 codec still?.

Genuine question: are there any examples where it is acceptable for publicly funded organisations to advertise commercial services?.

I was thinking about adding support for labels and inserting the address of labels to binmark but don't think I'm in a rush to do that.

I can see why assembly languages were invented! Pretty hard to understand the raw ARM instructions. It doesn't help that it is all little endian 🥚.

BTW, I didn't actually write the Hex myself, I reverse engineered a binary created from ARM assembly and then added comments to say what the different parts of the code did.

This was partly inspired by @dajobe pointing out the crazy Stage 0 project:

I have had a go at writing a Linux binary in Hex, to see how hard it is! Pretty hard is the answer. For a simple "Hello World!", most of the bytes are the ELF headers.
