I'd love to be able to piggy back off the Notes database to create an app for something with a more tailored UX but that at its core is human-readable text and media. Either way, it would be possible to fallback to a default presentation if you uninstall the app or extension.

For example, imagine the ability add basic formulas to tables to sum up columns, or an extension to run mini inline python/JavaScript scripts to make a mini Jupyter Notebook.

I wish Apple would make it possible to make extensions and add API access for the Notes app. It would make it possible to create functionality like Math Notes without necessarily needing to make the core Notes functionality any more complicated than it needs to be.

God I wish Apple would do this

Spatial scenes on iOS 26 are super impressive in general and have been near perfect in my experience. Great fun on a lock screen! So I was curious to see how it would interpret a full frame photo of a painting. Valiant attempt but not great 😅

Pretty excited about this: Substage will soon simulate Terminal commands and show a preview of what they’ll do—before they run! I ended up building a full bash parser and simulator from scratch 🤯 so it can track file changes and show a kind of live diff of the outcome.

With the app Substage, users can type out file management tasks in plain English, then use the commands it generates to convert file types, manage folders, create zip files, and more.
